Nestled alongside Peckforton hills in the Cheshire countryside our cookery school is set in a restored Victorian village school providing a unique and tranquil place for you to enjoy. We offer over 40 different courses delivered by myself and our team of friendly tutors, Mary keeps us all in order and is the glue that holds everything together.

If you are looking for cookery course, bake off, barbecue, wood fired or fire pit cooking session in the North West you’ll find us 20 minutes from Chester, North Wales, Shropshire and Staffordshire and just an hour’s drive from Liverpool and Manchester. Come cook with us.

Beer Tasting Social Supper 27th September. 6.45pm - 9pm. £25.00

Yes you did read that correctly! Join us for an evening of beer tasting with Beer Academy Qualified Beer Sommelier Martin Hilton. Explore the world of hops, malts and different beer styles. Learn how to really taste beer, how to pair foods and beer and taste six different beer styles matching them with various foods.

The resurgence in craft and traditional beers continues and here on the hill we’re determined to do our bit to help. It will be a fun, educational and ultimately social experience as Martin takes us expertly through a beer and food tasting.

Once that’s done we’ll serve you a very sociable supper of Carbonnade of beef, chunks of locally reared Red Poll beef slowly simmered in beer and served steaming hot with hunks of bread.

Creamy, chocolatey, zesty, crunchy, buttery, flaky, crispy, nutty, meltingly in the mouth…y! We’ve got all your favourite pastry ‘y’s covered plus your oohs, aahs and mmmms on this lovely Patisserie day.

You’ll get to discover the secrets of the pastry kitchen plus dozens of tips and techniques to create professional looking patisserie under the guidance of our pastry chef Emma where she’ll guide you through the making of:

Mini praline éclairs. Gorgeous lemon meringue tartlets. Chocolate topped cointreau cheesecake as well as citrus chocolate chip shortbread.
