HARTHILL COOKERY SCHOOL AND BARBECUE TERRACE

Nestled alongside Peckforton hills in the Cheshire countryside our cookery school is set in a restored Victorian village school providing a unique and tranquil place for you to enjoy. We offer over 40 different courses delivered by myself and our team of friendly tutors, Mary keeps us all in order and is the glue that holds everything together.

If you are looking for cookery course, bake off, barbecue, wood fired or fire pit cooking session in the North West you’ll find us 20 minutes from Chester, North Wales, Shropshire and Staffordshire and just an hour’s drive from Liverpool and Manchester. Come cook with us.

If you know how the basic ingredients work together and want to take your dough to the next level this will be the very thing for you.

Working with our very own Master of Baking Chef David Turner you will knead, prove, enrich, laminate, flavour, shape and plait your way through bags full of fermented fun to take away and share.

A Feast of Fish. Full day cookery course. 21st July. 10am - 4.30pm

We’ll look at the different categories of fish coming from our oceans and work with shellfish, flat and round fish.

Seafood is generally loved by chefs and cooks worldwide, its freshness & versatility combining to inspire us to cook with it. We’ll look at the different categories coming from our oceans and work with shellfish, flat and round fish.

With Brian’s help, you will make:

Beetroot cured salmon.

Lime & Bacardi soaked prawns.

Simmered chilli & garlic mussels as well as fillet, skin and bake herb crusted sole with a white wine butter sauce.
