Wood Burning Oven Day

When we mentioned to our good friend Rob Swift that we had built a wood burning oven he was all too keen to come and bake bread in it.

During this lively full day session with Brian and Rob you’ll cover a range of skills, tips and techniques on how to get the best from a wood burning oven, creating fantastic flavours and textures along the way.

We’ll talk about wood, lighting and controlling the heat in your oven as you work alongside Brian and fifth generation baker Rob in the Cheshire countryside. Rob will  take you through the bread making techniques passed down to him through the generations as you make breads such as Focaccia, Stromboli & Naan bread.

When we break for lunch it will feature Robs bread, local artisan cheeses and relishes from the school. Then it’s back to the oven to finish your creations before finishing with roasted Amaretto peaches with sweet mascarpone.

Including ingredients, tea, coffee, refreshments. Equipment and aprons are provided for the day.

All products are to take home.
