If you’d like to get started in the kitchen or just expand on your basic knowledge our three day course will build your confidence and skills in the kitchen.
Working together with our friendly expert tutors you’ll cover a range of skills, techniques and dishes that will help keep you organised in the kitchen and calmly produce some tasty treats.
Over the three days you’ll get confident with knives and learn how to choose, use and look after them. We’ll take a look at the ingredients and how to get the best out of them developing flavours and textures with a nod to all the relevant food safety and storage points. Best of all you’ll eat and share your way through the results as you progress through the course.
Each step and recipe is designed to introduce and develop a new skill such as confidence with knives, getting organised, sauce making, working with meat, poultry and fish plus of course developing those bread and pastry making skills. We’ll be incorporating vegetable, rice and egg cookery too plus jointing a chicken.

Day 1 – Bread crown; minestrone with pesto puffs; slow cooked ragu; wok seared pork & homemade black bean sauce; fried rice; tropical fruit salad almond float
Day 2 – Classic lasagne; signature slaw; garlic mayonnaise; tomato salad & garnish; steak and ale pie; hand cut chips; cauliflower cheese; sticky toffee pudding Chantilly cream.
Day 3 – Chilli coconut chicken; smoked haddock rarebit with poached egg; mozzarella filled chicken parcels; rosti potato; ratatouille; egg custard tarts.
Price: £400.00 including ingredients, tea, coffee, refreshments and lunch. Equipment and aprons are provided for the course.
